Caramelized Onion Dip

This is the classic creamy-sweet crowd-pleaser, and everybody loves it like crazy! Serve it with Crostini or Pita Chips and plenty of raw vegetables, such as carrot and celery sticks and bell peppers.

Measuring cup
Measuring spoons
Sharp knife (adult needed)
Cutting board
Small bowl
Spoon, for mixing 


recipe Caramelized Onions
1⁄2 cup
plain Greek yogurt
1⁄4 cup
olive oil
1⁄4 teaspoon
1⁄4 teaspoon
black pepper
scallion, greens and whites, chopped


  1. Put everything, except the scallion, in the bowl and mix well. Taste the dip. Does it need more pepper? A pinch of salt? If so, then add it, and taste again.
  2. Garnish with the scallion and serve right away, or cover and refrigerate up to 2 days.
